Overview

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and modern frameworks to help design and build scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, Redis, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, microservices, API gateways, and serverless architectures. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing high-performance backend solutions that drive our applications and services.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and robust server-side applications using modern frameworks and tools.
  • Build and manage relational databases (PostgreSQL) and in-memory databases (Redis) to optimize data storage and retrieval efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain APIs and microservices to ensure seamless integration between front-end and 
  • back-end systems.
  • Implement event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ (or similar) to facilitate asynchronous communication between services.
  • Leverage serverless architecture creates cost-effective and efficient solutions.
  • Create and manage API gateways to ensure secure and efficient traffic routing.
  • Implement security best practices to safeguard application data and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Experience with AWS services (such as Event Bridge, SQS, SNS, SES) is a plus.
  • Comply with the organization’s Information Security policies, procedures, and controls; support the ISMS; protect sensitive information; use company resources for authorized business purposes only; adhere to legal and regulatory requirements; and complete required training. Non-compliance may result in disciplinary action in line with organizational policies.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field. 
  • At least 6 years of proven experience in backend development, preferably within a technological company.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS.
  • Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and in-memory databases like Redis.
  • In-depth understanding of microservices architecture and API design.
  • Familiarity with serverless computing frameworks such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions.
  • Knowledge of API Gateway configuration and management.
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices, including testing, code reviews, and version control (Git).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Understanding of front-end technologies and how they integrate with back-end services.
  • Experience with containerization tools like Docker is required; experience with orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.

Work Duration

Candidate will be working  at UK hours, in local BD time from 2.00 PM to 11.00 PM.
